Some New...Some Old

I heart these......

I just realized, after I named this blog entry, that I was meaning to describe the fact that some of these pictures are newer than others. Yet, now it looks like I could be describing the fact that Savvy is a new baby versus her Mom, the "old lady." ha! Well....I did just turn 30.....so that could be an accurate description of us now. :) Anyway, I have a few pictures to share. This is what we have been up to lately.

I spend many hours in my little cinder-block office at school.......sigh. But I do get A LOT accomplished and I am learning many wonderful things that will benefit me and my families future.

Just wanted to say that I LOVE the month of March so much because of this.......it's cookie time!

Daddy and daughter date.

Savannah will only let me practice at home if she gets to hold my music and sing too. It is cute for about 10 seconds and then pretty loud and annoying. Hmmmm? I wonder if that is what others think of my practicing too?
:)
I am also pretty sure that Mozart would have thought it hilarious, that his music was being read upside down......silly little girl.

We got her a vibrating Thomas the Tank Engine toothbrush and now brushing is a charm! B.T.W., Savvy only enjoys one show on the television so far....and it is "Choo-Choo!" (a.k.a. Thomas and Friends) Good thing we like it too. Who doesn't enjoy learning new phrases like, "Bubble my boiler!" and "cinders and ashes!"...? We do.

Char is such a great artist. She would color and paint and draw ALL day if we let her.

She tries on everyones shoes.....even the shoes of guests who visit our home. :/

This was such a great day.....Don't worry, those are clean nylons. ;}

We were given a new toddler bed for Sav, and so this is documentation of one of the last nights in her crib.....tear. Where did my baby go? I do not think I am ready for the switch yet.

This picture is actually pretty old but I thought it was SO cute, I had to share. Our good friends came over and their son was dancing with Charlotte....it was adorable. It was here, that Kathryn was teaching them how to do "the dip." So fun!

Seattle, Washinton

Pike's Fresh Market is open everyday of the week.

We walked over to the Sculpture Park where the view of the city and the bay were phenomenal.

Safeco Field

A local restaurant in the "U District" part of town (near the University of Washington) which served only organic foods. It was also VERY scrumptous!!!

My very good friend Anne was my roommate. She and I are one of the only ladies in the choir with kids, so it is nice to have someone to relate with. :) As soon as our plane landed and we checked into the hotel, we went running OUTSIDE! (which would never happen in Wyoming at this time of year) and we were able to do that everyday...it was nice to be in a more mild climate and at 100 ft. above sea level where we could breathe more easily too. This was very helpful because our choir was asked to perform at a professional level, accompanying our composer in residence, Jennifer Higdon, for the bi-annual MENC (Music Educators National Conference). The concert was a success and we all had a really great experience in Seattle!!!!
