Dad Busy At Work; Girl's Busy At Play

This is the home that Adam is working on right now. It is here in Laramie......just North of our stake center. It is one of two homes that Asay Design is building right now. The other home is next door (about 10 ft. away) and will be 8000 square feet. Whew! Well, they have 9 kids so I believe they will love having the space in the end. :) Anyway, this is what Adam is working hard on each day. Great job Adam!!!!

It is my sisters' birthday today. She lives in Nasville, TN and so we are celebrating in her honor (or just wanted an excuse to make cupcakes) hahahahaha Happy Birthday Ginger!!!!! Love you.

Charlotte's hair is lightening up again (from the sun exposure) and Savvy is getting super curly locks. These girls are SO much fun to have around. We love being their parents.

P.S. I have worked for a month now at Charlotte's Preschool (Basic Beginning's) and I am REALLY enjoying it. I am their music teacher. I also teach piano there on Mon.'s and Thurs.'s which is such a good experience for me. I love being involved with music again. I couldn't have done this with out my degree in Music and for that, I will be forever grateful.

The Summer Festivities

It turns out that the 4th of July is really neat in Laramie. This year it was on a Sunday so we missed most of the traditional festivities the day of (we really celebrated the day before at Adam's high school reunion B.B.Q in Newcastle).....but we had a superb view of the fireworks from our lawn just outside our master bedroom window. (where we could listen for Savannah) Adam got some really neat shots with the slow shutter speed. Way to go.

Charlotte is enrolled in swim lessons this summer. This is her 2nd session. She does a great "bob" and can float on her back. Good job Charli!!!!

Here is the current status on the Wayne and Suzanne Erickson (in-laws) new home in Newcastle, WY. Their house burned down last year in September. It is now going to be a 3 bedroom 2 and 1/2 bath home with GREAT views (since the fire burned down a bunch of trees). We cannot wait to see this go up and get finished in time for a wonderful Christmas with the Erickson family. Things are looking great.

Our Little Baby Turns 1 Year Old!

As a Mother of two, I can honestly say that I did not believe it when others told me that the years would start to fly by more and more each year (and more and more with each child). But to no avail, they were correct. I now fully understand what they were talking about. We can hardly believe that it has already been a year with our sweet Savannah. We do not really remember life without her and we love that she is a part of our family. Having children and watching them grow up before our eyes has made Adam and I realize how blessed we really are. There are some things you give up as parents (like personal space or endless free and quiet time alone) but the things you gain are SO much more. We love being parents. Life is great.

Savvy loved being sung to. She enjoys the center of attention (like her Mother). lol So she was all smiles during the song but she got a bit fearful from the candle, so her sister and friend Eli helped her blow it out. Thanks girls.

She enjoyed getting messy much more than Charlotte did at this age. It was fun to watch her maul that cupcake! :) Anyway, these pictures were taken the actual day of her birthday with our friends up in Casper. We had meant to meet them up at the cabin but we got rained out so we turned around and went to their house. It was such a treat to be with "Family -Like" friends on such a special day. And in addition, we still got to throw Savannah a "real" birthday party the next week with our other "Family-Like" friends. (We have been blessed with great friends) Unfortunately, the camera was left home for that party and all we got was video.....once I figure out how to put video on here, I may post it. :) But it was also such a great celebration. That night was the PERFECT weather for an outside B.B.Q. (which is what I love doing) and the night was wonderful with the Anderson and Larsen families. Thank you for loving and supporting Savannah. We wish all of our friends and family could have been there with us to PARTY!!!

Char loving the Wii.......we hope to get it for her someday.......

Summer Findings

We headed on over to our favorite Wyoming town......Jackson Hole. Charlotte loved the carriage ride through downtown.

Daddy spoils these girls!!!

See the excitement?

Michael Jackson did it.....why can't we?

Teton Valley......so pretty.

She is saying, "Let me go and explore."

Hi there beautiful girl!

Uncle Jare's House. Some fun!!!!!

Careful not to poke out an eye.

Born and raised (so far) in Wyoming.

Here are a few shots I was able to get at the Afton house. We love traveling over to Star Valley!!! It is SUPER beautiful. Especially in the spring. It was a bit chilly still (Memorial Day Weekend) but we loved bringing life back into that house. This spot was where Savannah's Great Grandmother, Melba, used to hang her clothes out to dry. She was a hard working and righteous woman that I would have loved to know.

This is my favorite shot so far.....her blue eyes are piercing.

Laramie had crazy hail storms this year!!! Thank goodness we stayed safe.....it was scary.

Just like her sister.....she LOVES spaghetti!!!!

She also loves to be outside.

This is so funny.....the other day I drew Sponge Bob on the ground and Charlotte drew her own version right next to it. LOL I thought it turned out so cute and actually, pretty good.

We headed out to do some practice shooting the other day as a family activity. It was a gorgeous day and the girls loved every bit of it.
